Folks, I’ve already covered these suggestions. It still remains that Betsy ‘disappears’.
I’ll buy anybody a pint who cracks this!! 🤣

Have you checked marriages of Betsy's siblings to see if she was a witness, their deaths to see if she was informant or obits to see if she's mentioned or any newspaper articles?

Just asking as you pointed out previous suggestions offered had been covered but you failed to state what other areas had been covered.

There is a Betsy MacDonald born 1878 Lochbroom Rosshire working as a cook domestic
Address 5,Great King Street Midlothian for a Alexander Thomson and his wife on the 1901
Census might be a possibility

Rosie

Hi Rosie. No, my Betsy was born Knockbain.
Thank you though 🙏

I am presuming it is the same in Scotland as England/Wales, but if the information on the census was supplied by the head of household about one of their servants, that information can sometimes be wrong.

Before you dismiss the above Betsy, if the only thing that doesn’t fit is the place of birth she might be worth reconsidering. Have you traced this Betsy just in case?

There are two Betsy M*cDonald's on the 1881 and 1891 censuses, Ruskie. Both are born same year - one is in Lochbroom with her parents and one is born Knockbain with hers.

Apologies that I “failed to state what other areas had been covered”

Can you please tell us what other info. you've looked at which saves duplication of effort as previous info. submitted by RCers has been 'covered'?
