Just following up on trying to pinpoint when the family may have gone to Creswick....
https://www.aussietowns.com.au/town/creswick-vic
Creswick is 18km from Ballarat. Ballarat also was founded as a result of sheep farming and later developed, booming in the 1850s.
It says on the histories I have been reading that Cheswick boomed in the 1850s and was founded after the settlement of the runs around what is now the town by the Creswick brothers in 1842.

Can you confirm that Bridget, the daughter was born in Australia please?  Do you have an actual date please my maths show 1833 -1835.

So trying to establish an immigration timeline it might be that
Bridget was born in Ireland
they all travel to Aus at some time
Then they make for Creswick/Ballarat in the 1850s

If Bridget was born in Australia 1833-35 then going straight to Creswick/Ballarat off the ship does not follow as there was nothing to go to ie the gold rush had not started and the land had not been opened up for grazing.

Do you know what Cornelius did as an occupation in Australia was he a farmer in Aus and Ireland ?

Shanreagh I am not able to see the headstone inscription with enough clarity to read.

Can you please transcribe the inscription?

"Just noting that the gravestone of Hannah Mcinerney states that she had one son and one daughter. "

Thank you.

I  am able to open  the death certificate, 1863.

I am not able to open the marriage certificate, 1860. My computer/security is not allowing it.

Is someone able to see, and list, all the information on the marriage certificate, 1860?

I can open the marriage certificate.

Ballarat St Alipius

30 September 1860

John White, Bachelor, Co Tipperary, Ireland, labourer, 24, Forest Hill Creswick, William White & Mary Ryan, Farmer
Bridget McInerney, Spinster, Co Clare, Servant, 22, Forest hill Creswick, Cornelius McInerney Hannah Shea, Farmer
Both signed
Witnesses
John McInerney signed
Mary/May Cunningham her mark

The priest may be Laurence Sheil

Noting that the notes to the grave says there is a son and daughter and there was a John McInerney travelling to NZ from Vic  that I found earlier .......

'John born Vic 1837 arriving 1862 arrived bound for Otago on the SS Gothenberg leaving Melbourne 11/8/1862. He travelled in the fore cabin.'

I think it is doubtful he was born in Vic in 1837 unless the family came out to Aus between 1833 (Bridget's birth and 1837 his birth)
