He came to Norway on fishing trips and was  apparently very successful with his fishing.

What is the source of that information?
Did he write accounts of his fishing trips?

Thanks so much to all of you! I'm doing a phd on British tourism in Northern Norway in the 19th and 20th century and very much appreciate your replies. Henry was most likely one of the first sports tourists in this part of Norway (the Helgeland region) so it is important to identify him. I assume that Caldwell/Callwell was a "gentleman of independen means".

The sources that confirm that Henry was visiting the river Vefsna (also spelled Vefsen river) and was a succesful angler are here (requires access to The British Newspaper Archive and Find My Past):

1852:
https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0002446/18530430/057/0010

1854:
https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0001425/18540819/084/0007

Caught 2184lbs of salmon in 15 days on Vefsen river:

He was probably here in 1853 as well, based on ship arrivals (in Norwegian only):

Henry Caldwell, the architect of Sligo might be a candidate, in particular due to his interest in fishing.

A second candidate is Henry Callwell of Lismoyne, Belfast, married to Maude Martin. Maud Martin, wife of Henry Callwell born in Belfast (here of Dalriada, Ballycastle):

He seems to have applied for a passport in 1852. Application for passport:

A third candidate is:

Henry Berney Caldwell, born 1805:

Candidate 4:

Henry Caldwell, commander:
