It was the Frood Ironworks branch line according to the inquest report
There was not only a railway, but a fragment of a canal was dug in that neighbourhood when the Ellesmere Canal still intended to reach Chester via the Wrexham area, around 1800.  I don't think it ever carried more than a few boats, and they couldn't have travelled far !

The Ffrwd canal was never finished and had no boats, the remains of it are at the back of my house about 25 yards away. When the estate was built appx 40 years ago most residents had rockeries or stone features in their gardens. Courtesy of Telford's Canal. The remains are known as the "cuts"
