All you need to do is to click on ‘New Replies’ top left of the ‘Forum’ page, and this will show any unread replies on threads to which you’ve contributed.

I'll say 

I think I went down that road in the first few weeks after I  joined. I check on New Replies first  and then Unread Posts.

Though, for infrequent users, it might be best to rely on e-mails.

add - I still have  e-mails for PMs though.

I would be lost without my email notifications A lot of folk re-visit their research after receiving the notifications which help let folk of new replies.

I can't believe that I wasn't aware of that either. One click of the link on any of the occasions that I've visited Rootschat over the past two years would have shown me the overlooked post. I could kick myself even harder now !
