Just a quick question
I have a baptism on Lancs-OPC

Baptism: 25 Dec 1726 St Paul, Warton Nr Kirkham, Lancashire, England
Cicely Abram - gem. Thomas Abram & Ann
    Abode: Warton
    Notes: twin
    Register: Baptisms 1726 - 1783 from the Bishop's Transcripts
    Source: LDS Film 1502439

What does the word 'gem' after her name mean

Latin for twin Geminae

It has been shortened to Gem to note that Richard and Cicely are twins

ADDED
Lancs OPC has omitted Richard
The original is on ancestry if you want to check

You can send the parish volunteer an email about the omission.
Some clergy then were still including bits of Latin.
