Looks like the 1945 death for John Crawford isn't husband of the correct Maggie Barr (he was quite a bit older than Maggie).

Can't see a birth for James Crawford in Ballymoney district in 1890s.

Did you mean to say John Barr and John Crawford rather than John Crawford and James Crawford?

Yes, scotmum, thanks for the correction.

I had looked earlier for a John Crawford, father James, in Rasharkin area and closest I could find was a James Crawford, son of James Crawford & Jane Dunlop in Lisheegan  :-\
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Just noticed https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/75453405/john-crawford/ also has father noted as James Crawford of Rasharkin, suggesting James was possibly still alive and living there at time, albeit as this was an entry not formerly commemorated, it could just be the info given by whoever requested that John be added and James may or may no have been alive at 1918.

Mmm...birthplace given as Carnfinton, Rasharkin too, so trying to figure out why his record is indexed on FindMyPast with a Scottish place of birth.

Only this Joseph Crawford in Carnfinton in 1911, no other Crawfords there in 1901/11:

Recorded as married but no other family members listed, however:

A CWGC entry for an Archibald Crawford, RIR,  son of a Joseph of Carnfinton https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/878276/archibald-crawford/

Well done, scotmum.

Not particularly, as there are still more questions than answers ;D
