Hi

The original m document for the m between Thomas BENNET & Catherine PRIGG on 9.6.1718 at St John, Duxford, Cambs, has her as Mrs Catherine Prigg (the only bride on that list as a Mrs) so I assume she was possibly a widow.

If this is correct, then I cannot find a m between her & a Mr Prigg, so her maiden name remains a mystery

I think Catherine was bur 6.3.1729 in the churchyard of St Botolph, Cambridge, Cambs (as Katherine). She & her 2nd husband? Thomas's children were bap there.  I think Thomas d 18.3.1770 Cambridge, Cambs

I would be grateful for any assistance as to a possible m between Catherine & Mr Prigg
& Thomas's & Catherines's dob or bap, if that is possible

I have a similarly described marriage record in my tree and believe that it is not Mrs = married woman, but Mistress = a well-to-do/well-bred woman of means, a spinster nevertheless. Hoping that someone will confirm this.

I agree with tillypeg that Mrs isn't a married woman, but someone from a family of good standing locally.

Thanks

Her bap sounds a likely one. They were a young couple, so unlikely she could have squeezed in a previous husband (thou not impossible!)

Thomas's parents were m 1694, & his father, also Thomas, d 1706 London so his b must be between those dates - his mother was Elizabeth. Possibly Hertfordshire, London or poss Oxford

Not convinced  about

poss Thomas bap 24.9.1694 All Saints Kingston Upon Thames to Thomas

But cannot find another
