Think I have found a Clarks Buildings, is Finsbury the right area?  Can't find it on ancestry nor am seeing any that could be your family.

Do you have an occupation for William please from the birth certificate you have for one of the girls?

Still think workhouse is a possibility where they could be under initials  :-\
Q would be good to look for.  If there is a family of Q's with the right first initials but where was their local workhouse.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

William was in 1838 a Plasterer according to his daughter Mary Ann Quinlan at 10 King Street, Drury Lane.
Sadly Finsbury Park is a fair distance from St Giles. Drury Lane is near Covent Garden.
There was a workhouse in the Sheffield Street Area near Holborn.

I have tried searching for names which are similar but nothing yet.

That's an interesting bit of local history.

I presume Clarks Buildings were a series of buildings.
Elizabeth Barry b 1838 is living in N4 Clarks Buildings. The adjacent census page is N5.
Piece 673 , Book 16,  folio 50, page 5.

I found it by searching on FindMyPast then looking for the name on Anc. I looked for Mary but still can’t see anything.

I found Drury Lane on the 1841 and went through page by page.

Wondering if King Street is listed on the 1841 on a different one

Henry Adey
1841 673, book 1, folio 19, pg 30

King Street seems to begin on the page to the left then it is just dittoed for a few pages until Queen Street starts.

It may be in other pieces depending on the length and route though.
