« on: Tuesday 16 August 22 09:01 BST (UK) »
Alice convicted at old bailey 1831 and was aged 24 when convicted. Also known as Alice  Ankerville at her marriage to William Wilson in Tasmania in 1834. Arrived on the "Hydery' 1832 as Alice Nankeville.
I believe she was bapt in Plymouth St Mary in 1801 d/o  John and Alice. Which brings up a new mystery, who were th ey?
All clues welcome

Convicted in January 1832 aged 23. Tasmania records show her as aged 24 on arrival in August 1832 so her birth year is probably 1808.

Thanks for the heads up, I have seen her trial before, no clues there as to who she is. Too bad there was not a 1831 Devon census.
I find Devon Parish records so hard to find without paying for them, unlike the Cornwall records, where I spend most of the time.
This bit from her record is interesting...
GEORGE AUGUSTUS KOLLMAN . I am organist of His Majesty's German Chapel , and live in St. James' Palace ; the prisoner lived from July to October in my service, but she had been three years in my father's service; we gave her a good character to a gentleman in Welbeck-street, but about two months after she left us, suspicion arose - she was taken, and some duplicates were found on her, which were found to relate to my property. He died in 1845.

Hello
Sorry I can't see a lot but there is a John Nankivel Constable of Plymouth in their records 1809-1811.
No other details just on a list of Constables.
possible burial Plympton St Mary
John Nankivell age 66 9.8.1841 of Small Hanger?
