Where is this house?
« on: Wednesday 17 August 22 21:22 BST (UK) »
Hello

Does happen to know if Park Terrace still exists and where it is or was located in Oswestry? It was give as the place of residence on the marriage certificate of Sarah Ann Wright in 1909.

Many thanks

Jay

It still exists, was there a No. on Park Terrace?

Have you found who's there in 1901, 1911, 1921 or/& 1939?

Not sure if it still exists, Jayson, but I know that the Park is in the west side. This might be close

Hey Gadget!

Just picking up from where I left off with my Wright/Timmis families. You and several others found out so much a while back on here about Sarah Ann Wright father Joseph, her mother Ann Williams and her many siblings.

Just trying to find the house where Sarah lived. The marriage certificate just says Park Terrace and that her father was Joseph Wright.

Didn't we look at a house near the bridge a while ago?  I think this is in the same broad area - just off the Whittington Road, before you get to Whittington.

Have a look at the modern map that I've put up and the houses for sale.

I'm hoping to get down there in the next few months to meet up with my rellies and old school friends.

Take care  :)

Just looked at the maps and it is very close to where my dad thought the house was :) so it looks like the mystery is solved.

He said his gran Sarah Ann mentioned Gobowen many times when she was a very old lady.

Take care - Jay :)
