Just spotted Morpeth Herald, 9 Oct 1914 -
"... Ashington Coal Company at Ellington Colliery Farm ..."

Thank you for replying - I had seen this as well, confirms the 1918 Absent Voters List as being at Ellington.

I contacted Northumberland Archives about Colliery Farm, Ellington and the reply was that they believed that it was better known as West Farm, Ellington.

A search of the BNA came up with a court case which states West Moor Farm, Ellington, belonging to the Ashington Coal Company .....'

Ellington Colliery was owned by the Ashington Coal Company. I'm happy that West Moor Farm was also known as Colliery Farm, Ellington.

West Moor to the west of the colliery. Ihad checked this map and plumped for "Dean House"  - being the closest to the colliery.
