ELLEN WRIGHT (b 1862/63 in LEEDS)

I based my guess on the death you mentioned in 1862 in Leeds and thought an Ellen (? Morrell ?) may have died shortly after the birth of my Ellen Wright. Resigned myself to the fact I do need the marriage certificate which, according to the GRO, should be with me about the 15th of September.
In the meantime thank you everyone for your contributions and I will report back when the certificate  arrives.

Marriage certificate just turned up showing the following :
Date - 09/12/1884 in Sunderland
Marriage for Ellen Wright (father George a labourer) to John William Davis (father Edward, deceased)
Ellen (aged 22) residing in Hedley Street, Sunderland
Should enable me to move on later tonight.

Found an 1871 census at 7 Water Street, Hipperholme cum Brighouse showing George Wright (b1812) as head with a daughter called Ellen (b1862) potential mother called Martha (b1821).

1881 census
Martha and 4 of the 7 children still living at the same address but no signs of father George or Ellen
Think I have now found Ellen in 1881 living with her elder brother Thomas and his family in no 9 Water Street

Struggling to find any birth for Ellen, 1881 census for father George or a marriage for George Wright to a Martha.

Sorry, not completely it ruled out. If I have the right parents (ie George and Martha) then this George is highly unlikely to be Ellen's father. If this address is the one mentioned on the certificate, in my opinion, he is more likely to be a relative with whom she was residing just prior to her marriage in 1884.
Just wish I could find some birth details in 1862 to confirm mothers name and birth district.

Could you give details of the parents you feel are correct for your Ellen Wright

The reason I ask is there's this baptism parents George & Martha

I wondering if the above Ellen Wright (widowed Betts) married a John Leonard WOOD (widow) on 9 Sep 1900 Dewsbury, York, transcript gives her fathers name as George WRIGHT
