What happened to Susannah Voss?
« on: Tuesday 23 August 22 15:16 BST (UK) »
Susannah Voss was baptised on 7 May 1826 at Milton, Hants, d/o Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Buckell). I have her with her parents and siblings in 1841 in Wootton, near Milton.
A possible in 1851 as a 24 year old general servant with the Stokes family in Boldre.
Piece 1666, Folio 142, Page 2
As double "s" is often written to appear as "fs", she has been transcribed as Vop on both Ancestry and FindMyPast. Also her birth  is down as Boldre, but I can't find a Susan / Susanna(h) born in Boldre who would fit.

After the definite sighting in 1841 and possible in 1851, she disappears, can anyone find her please?

Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)

Could she have become Mrs Charles Bull?
Charles and Susan Bull in Boldre in 1861. Children's birth registrations may show mother Voss?
Susan is 36, born Boldre.

The 1851 census page has Susannah Voss at the top of a page, her employer is on the previous page as is Charles Bull, age 29 unmarried, with parents and siblings - she married the boy almost next door

First one certainly does - Emily Bull Mar 1854 Lymington

Can't find a Bull/Voss marriage yet though.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
