Perhaps it would help us in researching if you could tell us the last thing you were able to prove by certificates etc in getting back to Richard

Names of his children in birth order may give clues to likely names of Richard's parents. Have you found their baptisms?
There were 2 Methodist chapels in the Thornham area, foundation years not shown on GENUKI or LAN-OPC. Also some other non-conformist chapels within a 5 mile radius. (2nd link to GENUKI website in my reply #5)

Several trees have Richard b 1873 and death a week later. I should have checked as Lancsopc show that death so ignite the previous information.


Did you mean 1783?
I assume "ignite" is also a typo, not that you're recommending arson.  ;D
