Before you get too excited, check the coverage! It's FAR from comprehensive.

Yes, but when combined with the offerings of other companies such as FindMy Past, MyHeritage, S&N Genealogy Supplies etc., it is very welcome.
The more companies and sites that offer records the better
Cheers

It's got to be good news - how does it compare with the incomplete coverage on the Notts FHS CDs? I expect the latter have more info, but are any of the missing parishes covered by Ancestry?
Bradbury (Sedgeley, Bilston, Warrington)
Cooper (Sedgeley, Bilston)
Kilner/Kilmer (Leic, Notts)
Greenfield (Liverpool)
Holyland (Anywhere and everywhere, also Holiland Holliland Hollyland)
Pryce/Price (Welshpool, Liverpool)
Rawson (Leicester)
Upton (Desford, Leics)
Partrick (Vera and George, Leicester)
Marshall (Westmorland, Cheshire/Leicester)

The Nottinghamshire Archives have published a PDF list showing which registers have been added to Ancestry (around 75%) and which haven't, with claims that the remaining ones are due to be added next year.

https://www.inspireculture.org.uk/whats-on/news/2022/08/25/nottinghamshire-parish-registers-now-available-online-at-ancestrycouk/

Though how complete their list actually is I don't know, as I can still see at least two parishes missing, Colston Bassett St Mary's being one that I know they have there (on fiche at least).

Hi DJF06

Thanks for the link to the PDF list as to what is on Ancestry, it will be useful and great to know other parishes will be added early next year.

I have solved a couple of my puzzles and replaced some copies of parish printouts from fiche I had from way back as the images from Ancestry are much better  :)
