There only 11 names on the Groomsport war memorial on the church doors. No Parke.

The public memorial records that Lieut J B Parke served abroad (presumably WW!). Not a death.

There is a newspaper snippet which has a death in 1974., Drumbeg.

A Family tree shows this man with mother Gertrude. Is that your man?

I can only reiterate the information in several trees - death 1974.

Death announcement Belfast Telegraph 3rd April 1974.

It would be worth checking out.
