What happened to John Sing Rowe

Hi, i've been stumped on a ancestor in my tree for a while now. His name is John Rowe and i believe he married a Ann Burden around 1866 in Bideford devon, Ann went on to have 3 children, Elizabeth, John and Clara They can all be found living with Ann's parents Henry and Betsy Burden in the 1881 census. Minus John who i haven't been able to trace in any census.

Any info on John would be much appreciated.

Where & when was he born?

If you haven’t traced him in any census - where did you get his middle name Sing from? 

Have you bought a copy of his marriage cert to establish his occupation & his fathers name?

Where & when was he born?  He married as plain John Rowe so how do you know his middle name was Sing?

There is a death in 1883 for John Sing Rowe on freebmd plus a birth in 1844 - mmn Sing

I was told it was possibly sing, i really have no clue no date of birth or place to go by i'm afraid.

Are you descended from one of the 3 children? 

With so little info - you need the marriage cert as a starting point

Ann is with her parents in 1871 but John must have still been alive as she later had Clara.

He may have been a mariner
