Faroes fishing history enquiry
« on: Saturday 03 September 22 09:02 BST (UK) »
Hi folks

Wonder if anyone knows where to find or access fishing vessel records for the faroes fishing fleet

My family’s sail fishing drifter was sold to Faroe Islands in 1918

Thanks

Ryan

Have you tried the Danish National Archives?

https://en.rigsarkivet.dk/

...or the Faroe Islands National Archive (but it's in Faroese).

Researching: Cuthbertson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Australia; Hunter – Co. Derry; Jackson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Canada; Scott – Co. Derry; Neilly – Co. Antrim & USA; McCurdy – Co. Antrim; Nixon – Co. Cavan, Co. Donegal, Canada & USA; Ryan & Noble – Co. Sligo
