Hannah names her father as Samuel, a miner, she was of the parish of St Nicholas, Newcastle on Tyne, when she married.

The second witness, William MAJOR, is likely to be Thomas' brother in law.  He married Mary Jane WINN in 1858.

Hi Debra, at last. It seems you have managed to make clear for me what has been rather confusing.
Thank you so much. I believe I now have the proof (for me at least) H Parker is correct and I can progress. I have managed to fid the GRO and BMD references you mentioned.
As a rookie, the name changes between Winn, Whinn, Wind has thrown me as I was taking surnames as "fixed".
I am very grateful for all inputs. I have also downloaded the image, really helpful.

The odd thing is thomas and Hannah parker marriage certificate says surname whinn then the death certificate is winn,so it started as wind.then the wind came from winde.which I was also told from my father's uncle.
