Birth Look ups please

Would anyone be able and kind enough to see if they could find any information on the following:
Ellen (or Helen) Halliday born 06.12.1842 father John Halliday, mother might be Mary Fletcher

and John Bogue born 1841 father MIchael, no details of mother.
I realise this is not a lot to work with, but thanks in advance for anything anyone may find.
