Well I am confused now.

From Millmoor earlier:
“ There is, furthermore, a marriage of a John Henry Rowding to Sarah Ann Simpson in Sheffield 21 April 1897. His father is named as Charles Rowding. Charles Rowding would seem to have been an older brother of John Rowding ( father Francis).”

1881 4661 /129/14

Charles Rawding 40 yrs
Caroline Rawding 35 yrs
Christiana Rawding 16 yrs
John H. Rawding 6 yrs

I can’t see a marriage for Charles and Caroline nor births for the two children.

However, there is a birth:
Christiana Hollely 1865 with no mother’s maiden name.

She is at 1871 4680 /5/4
Caroline Fisher 24 yrs married lodger
Christiana Hollely 6 yrs lodger

It seems George Henry Rowding, who was born to John and Eliza, was taken in by Johns Brother Charles and Caroline as a tot, when Eliza and his younger brother John Frederick both died.
It seems like his name was then changed from George to John.
The other George Henry who I’ve been talking about, seems to the one then living with John and Jane,he’s not the same person.
The only thing that looks a bit odd on the 1881census,is his age,it says he’s 6,but he would have been older.

From Millmoor’s earlier post, I assumed that John Henry, the child in the census, married Sarah Ann Simpson in 1897 where he gives his father as Charles.

You have:
George with John and Jane in 1881 and 1891.

John with Charles and Caroline in 1881 and 1891.

1901 has George H and Sarah A Rawding with their children.
1911 the same family with more children

Who is George Henry living with John and Jane as ‘son’ if, as you say, John’s son George is living with Charles and Caroline but renamed John?

Ladyhawk gave a link to Sheffield Indexers to the burial records.
27th January 1894 - George Henry son of J Rawding aged 20 years - together with the people you have named.

August 20th 1927 - George Henry Rowding aged 53 yrs , Engine Driver
Sarah Ann, his wife also in the same grave.

His occupation fits with the censuses.

Millmoor also mentions the marriage of John Henry to Sarah Ann Simpson with father Charles.

It is confusing. Perhaps John Henry changed his name to George Henry for some reason.

What if the George Henry buried in Johns plot, wasn’t their son?

The one buried in the plot is named as  the son according to the burial register.

You could purchase the death certificate perhaps.

I would suggest having a look at 1911 census for George Henry and the number of years married column.

Charles Rawding married Caroline Fisher 28 March 1880 in Sheffield - he is a widower and she is a widow. His father is shown as Francis Rawding and her's as John Hollaly. (The original shows Charles as Charles as Charles Burton Rawding but the surname is transcribed in this case as Rowling).

William
Dent (Haltwhistle and Sacriston), Bell and Jetson (Haltwhistle), Postle, Ward, Longstaff, Purvis, Manners, Parnaby and Hardy (Co. Durham), Kennedy and McRobert (Banffshire), Reid(Bathgate), Watson (Wemyss), Graham (Libberton), Sandilands (Carmichael), Munro (Dingwall)
