I have a marriage cert for Peter Stewart & Margaret Forbes for 5 Dec 1856
It lists their ages as 37 & 25, respectively.
This would put Peter being born in 1819.
His Parents are named on the marriage cert. as Duncan & Christian Robertson.
~I have found THEIR marriage banns (22 Jan 1800) as well as 2 subsequent birth records- John in 1801 & Alexander in 1806.
No mention of Peter.
Anyone have information on my missing family member!?
Perhaps I have the wrong Duncan & Christy- there are hundreds!  ::)
Is Christian recorded as Christian Stewart, Maiden Surname Robertson or just Christian Robertson?

There's a gap between the 2 siblings born 1801 & 1807 & the birth of Peter Stewart in approx. 1819

What place names are given for Duncan & Christian in 1800 & who were the witnesses?

What info. is given on the baptisms of John & Alexander, place names, witnesses/sponsors et al?

What occupation was given for Duncan on any/all docs?

I'm wondering if Duncan & Christian were actually the g/parents rather than the parents of Peter?

Annie

The census records indicate there were other children apart from just those three.

If you add an image, we may be able to decipher where Christian was from?

A couple of questions seem to have been missed...

"What info. is given on the baptisms of John & Alexander, place names, witnesses/sponsors et al?

What occupation was given for Duncan on any/all docs?"
, please give dates/places in order.

It's always an idea to do a timeline of known info. (date/place/occ. etc.) to help with further research.
