Help with placename
« on: Sunday 02 October 22 22:33 BST (UK) »
The will of Alexander Burgoyne was probated 1838 in Derry Diocese --

His address was given as Carsheny, All Saints parish (Co Donegal).

I cannot locate this townland in modern maps - perhaps someone with local knowledge has come across this before?

Have you looked on Griffiths Valuation to see if there are clues there?

After a quick look there seem to be some entries for Lady Burgoyne at Clonleigh Co Donegal.

I have now concluded that the townland is Garshooey in All Saints parish.

Thanks to all those who helped.
