Where has my post gone?
« on: Tuesday 04 October 22 19:46 BST (UK) »
I asked a question earlier today about William Sandell in Essex in the 16th century. I asked if someone could check a will that is available on SEAX. Now my question has disappeared. Has it been deleted? Why?

Yes, it was definitely there, because I saw it.
My guess is that because you were asking for a lookup (or appearing to ask for one) on a subscription site, the mods have removed it, Obviously RootsChat can't be seen to condone or enable anyone to avoid paying for access to another site.  You may have to bite the bullet and part with some cash to get the info you want.
Alternately, if you ask if the information you want is available elsewhere (eg freecen or freebmd or familysearch) someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

If I remember you were asking for a look up on SEAX, we are not allowed to ask for look ups on subscription sites
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk

Ask instead if someone's visiting Essex Archives and has the opportunity to help.

At least it gets your request out there
