death for a Joseph Swinnerton
« on: Friday 07 October 22 15:49 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Been searching for a while now for the death of a Joseph Swinnerton born Liverpool Apr 1852.
Joseph was married to a Sarah Groves at St Peters Church Street Liverpool in 1875.
He sent a lot of time in and out of Brownlow Hill Workhouse. Last known discharge from there was 1891, three years after his wife Sarah died. Sarah was buried in Rice Lane cemetery.
but what happened to Joseph is still a mystery.
Thanks,
bswinno.

Yes the Henry in the 1881 census is thought to be josephs half brother.
On josephs discharge from the Workhouse in 1991. I did notice that it gives a different name for his wife.
