Hi,

Just to let you know that I have the memorial inscription booklet for St Thomas, Groeslon from Gwynedd FHS and there is no mention of Jane's burial in it.

The entry above numbered 249 in the register (Elizabeth Griffith of Cae Sarn) is there in Plot B010, but nothing specific for Jane. There are numerous entries showing "no inscription" and the only possibility I can see mentioned is a grave for a John and Jane Jones in Plot C103 but there is nothing more shown in the booklet that comes close.

Hi,

Nothing immediately jumps out at me for an Ellen Jones - have you any other details which may help to tie it down (such as an address or husband?)

Incidentally in the booklet, the notes for C103 just says - Er cof am/John a/Jane Jones/

The adjoining entries show C102 - No inscription and C104 says Er cof am/A J jones/

her husband was Thomas who died 1887 and is buried at St Thomas Groeslon 30th April 1887. On the 1911 census Ellen was last living at 21 Hyfrydle road Talysarn

Hi,

Hitting a brick wall now I'm afraid.

Nothing in the booklet for either Thomas Jones in 1887 nor Hyfrydle Road at any time.

Using Thomas address from 1887 burial on Ancestry (entry number 688) the only mention of Tydddyn Gwain is for a Roberts family in Plot C040.

The adjoining numbers C039 has just initials W T W/T W W and C041 has no inscription at all. C042 has just initials T + O +

Looks like a lost cause as far as the booklet is concerned.
