Crumbs another week has begun!
It's sunny here today which is good as I have a lot of washing to do and try and get dry on the free washing line and free sun!
Such a contrast to last night as we drove back from Glasgow in torrential rain. Not nice on the M74.
However while it took longer,  we were safe which is what matters.
Not too sure about the the cars which overtook on the A road later driving OVER double white lines as we weren't going fast enough for them, only for them to realise the reason we were then driving slowly, was a mega long escorted load with the outrider showing super bright flashing orange lights. You could tell they were frustrated as their brake lights kept coming on. We were mostly curious as to where this very long I shaped piece of steel ( looked like) was heading to!

Same weather here as you Candleflame, last night I could hear the rain pounding the windows when I was in bed. Good to hear you made it home safely. Lovely sunny day today, looks like we sent it down south, sorry LM.

There have been a number of programmes/ features on TV recently about energy saving tips,  can be much needed information in these times of price increases but a lot of them are just stating the blinding obvious.

I left home at 10am amidst pouring rain, headed towards Maldon Quay  where we met up with 2 other friends for a trip on the Hydrogen sailing barge, a 2 hour trip including lunch, sun out all the time and still is, a really enjoyable day ,

A long day today, really tired but to wired to sleep.

Managed to get my flu jag and my covid booster today.

Bit stressed.  One of my patients is raising a complaint against me and is say it will be taken to the press.  This means I will be publicly humilated and not be allowed to defend myself because of confidentiality.  Obviously, I can't explain what it is about but there are 2 complaints.  One is about something that I have no control over and one is something they want me to do that is at best inappropriate at worst illegal.  I'm sure this is not how the newspapers will report it.

Had a narrow miss with a head on collision on the way home.  Was driving though road works and another car jumped the red light and sped around a blind corner.  So angry, sick of following all the rules, taking responsibility etc while others have all the rights.

Take especial care when driving if you are tired or stressed, PharmaT, please. I've had my Covid booster, but after a rotten time after my first (and probably only) 'Flu shot last year, declined that one.
As the weather here was good at weekend I hand-weeded two paved areas in our back garden - a wonderful feeling to look at them afterwards, from the relaxation of our old wooden swing seat!

Pharma surely your trusts procedures will protect you from that? They take complaints seriously but they also value staff and will follow due process. Are you a member of a union to get you some support ?
Go gently .

A bit of a laugh this morning, I can get a new ooker but from limited choice and those sent on my iPad are mostly white, well my kitchen is black! :-[ :-[
I have said I will choose when I have seen some at Curry’s for eg.
Well this morning s blooming great lorry came and parked outside my door, I,
all guns blazing go out to remosnstrate that until I have had a proper choice to select from And a new one fitted the old one is staying here!
Well, they did not know what I was talking about ,they were here to remove a dead barbecue, parasol stand and other metal thingies !From along the back lane ,that someone was disposing of- :-[
I explained and invited  them to take away the flipping scaffolding still here from Sept 10 th. Sadly they declined my offer.
Well thigh I must speak with D&G asap.

Sniffles much less now but I did not take communion on Sunday ,truly I would have undoubtedly dripped into the Chalice.

Butter bean casserole for tea with cheese and herb scone topping .

Baby Kyra, one in Nov is on her feet and a few steps round furniture.
Got her some long Johns, all in one Jamas, £5 from Aldi, for three sets!
Not for her B/day just they were too good to miss.

Dull cold day here ,sky a little brighter than earlier.
I still have some washing to do.

Watched part of an old film yesterday about The Amethyst ,a British Navy vessel ,trapped in the Yangtze and how the outline of the ship was changed by minor alterations and bogus funnels etc so her outline was different and she managed to get out of Chinese territiorial waters .
The fashion that Summer was for engagement rings to be Amethysts ,or at least two little ones each side of a diamond .
It was a daring feat ,typically British, makes  you proud!

Well must get on,might wash by which time the weather will perhaps have made its mind up.
Look after yourselves folks and thanks for your news etc.
Viktoria.
