Hi Allan,

Thanks very much for looking again, the post on Facebook said:

Could someone post or PM me a copy of the photograph of the herring yard that is in the Old Seahouses book? It is the picture of what was John Woodger's yard on Union Street when it was owned by someone else. I own a copy of the book but don't have it with me. Our cottage is on the site of the yard and I'd like to have a copy of the photo in the cottage.

That photo was a reply and the person just said is this it so I assumed it was in the book. Maybe there is a reprint version.

Thanks for taking the time to look,

Michael

I just firkled :-)

starting here:
https://calmview.northumberland.gov.uk/default.aspx
Put 'Seahouses' in the search field and pressed enter.

When the results page came up I clicked on 'refine search'

In the 'format' field I chose Photograph, in the 'with at least one of the words' field, I typed in herring.

The result I posted seems to be the same as the image you showed, there's at least one other (next in the list) that is a slightly different view.

Boo

I have just slowly looked through the book again (in fact twice!) and I can't see any photo that resembles your description. My copy of the book was first published in 2014 -- I don't know if there has been a reprint possibly with extra photographs.

I've just got the copy I reserved via the library. It's the 2014 edition, same as the one Allan owns, so no 'extra' photo. I've done a quick search and I believe this is the only edition ever published.

So sadly I'm of no help to you, but thanks for prompting me to get the book as its extremely interesting!

Thanks very much for looking Jen, I'm glad you're enjoying the book.

Boo found that picture at Woodhorn and I've contacted them but they can't even confirm if it's Seahouses from their records, I'm not sure where the person on Facebook got the information from.

Thanks again for looking though.
