The only John Cherry born circa 1770 is baptized 5 November 1769 at Hessle
son of William Cherry - labourer

Possible link
William Cherry married Mary Walker 24 November 1757 at Hessle

Referring to the 1841 census when one son is named Walker later written as Walter
