John Joseph born 15 January 1887 Co Tipperary Ireland 1st Marriage in Ireland unknown then went to Pennsylavina USA in 1914 married Johanna Foley Hackett died 21 July 1957 Collier Pennsylvania USA

On the passenger list it states that Michael and Denis were still back in Ireland
Any information would be truly appreciated.

Is this him in 1920?

His age in 1920 and 1930 gives a birth year of 1880.  He says he emigrated in 1900, so a birth in 1887 would have made him aged 13, and a birth in 1880 would make him 20 which is still pushing it a bit to be the father of two children.

It's a place.  this is the map

There is a birth for a John McCarthy in Lattin in 1885, Father Denis and Mother Mary McGrath.
That the only Denis McCarthy I found to a son John.
Also, on the Naturalization Declaration it says his last residence place was Limerick.

There is a birth for a John McCarthy in Lattin in 1885, Father Denis and Mother Mary McGrath.
That the only Denis McCarthy I found to a son John.

Here's the 1885 birth mentioned- not only the year buut the date and month don't match the original post. So, leigh morgan, where did you get 15 Jan.1887 as the date of birth?
