Can anyone help me please to find a birth index for Ameline Jeff or Jeffs, i think he was born in Dorset about 1880, his parents were Walter and Eliza Jeff...Many Thanks

I saw the birth record and it says Ameline was a girl, are you sure he was a boy or was this just a mistake on the record? The census Ameline is on in 1891 in a tent in Redhill common also lists them as a girl. Also I think his mothers maiden name was probably spelt Ayers aswell as Eyers in case that helps.  :)

i think sometimes ambeline, i know few males called amaline /ambaline

I think, if you look, that Ambeline is a misreading of Anceline or Anselina. This is a family name.
