My research project is on Llandyfeisant graveyard on the Dynevor Estate in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, Wales.  Watkin Lewis Griffies-Williams is the brother of Rev. D.H.T. Griffies Williams who is buried in Llandyfeisant graveyard.  I am currently looking into the family and came across the probate for Watkin Lewis G.W. Do you know who this Mary Williams is ?
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QPJ3-WRNR
Name   Watkin Lewis Griffles Williams
Death Date   23 May 1877
Beneficiary's Name   Mary Williams
Event Type

Death
Event Date   25 Jun 1877
Event Place   England, United Kingdom
Event Place (Original)   Principal Registry

That would be a great research project. As far as Mary Williams is concerned, Watkin did have a sister, Mary Anne Caroline Catherine Griffies Williams baptized 12 Apr 1813, Myddfai, Carmarthenshire, Wales. By the time of Watkin's death, Mary was married to Henry Frederick Vaughan (they married in 1836) so it depends on when he wrote his will or if Watkin still referred to her as Mary Williams.
I'd love to get hold of the PRs for Llandyfeisant. Are they on line somewhere?
Oh, and DHT's son Herbert was also buried at Llandyfeisant. The information I have is that he was originally buried somewhere else, then disinterred in 1877 and reburied at Llandyfeisant with his father.

THE LATE MRS.WILLIAMS, of LLWYNHELIG
On Tuesday the remains of Mrs. Williams, of LIwynhelig were interred at Llandyfeisant churchyard. The deceased lady was advanced in years, and had been bed-ridden for many years. It might be a long shot but Caroline who died in 1907 had the middle names Mary Ann

Edmund Watkin Kent was the son of Anne Griffies Williams and her husband, Simon Kent, the sister of David.
Also mentioned in the will was an adopted daughter, Julia Williams of Moulmein. I think she was a natural daughter by a Burmese woman, Ma Shway Min. There is a birth entry at Moulmein.
From memory, Herbert Williams aged 4 and a half was buried at Llanfihangel Aberbythych in 1838, then after his father died he was disinterred and reburied with his father are Llandyfeisant. Note that this is from memory and needs to be verified.
Also, David was a descendant of Thomas Thackeray of Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire through his daughter Ann who married John Griffies. William Makepeace Thackeray (the author... hoorah!) also descended from Thomas.

Here's the newspaper announcement for the death of Mary Anne Caroline Catherine Vaughan, nee Griffies Williams. To me it seems unlikely that she would be mentioned in Watkin Lewis Griffies Williams' Will under her maiden name. What do you think ? https://newspapers.library.wales/view/3763531/3763536/53/Vaughan

Interesting that you found that Herbert H. Griffies Williams was first buried in Llanfihangel Aberbythich and then later in Llandyfeisant. Can you remember where you read this ? I found these newspaper articles -

Um, I did say it was from memory and needed verification. From this it does look like I was wrong.

That still leaves the conundrum of Mary Williams.
