Apologies, I should have remembered you already had the 1812 death notice.

Hello Maddy

Absolutely no need to apologise.

I really appreciate the input from you and Ciderdrinker. You have both spent quite some time on it, thank you.

I have now found the two burial images mentioned by Ciderdrinker:-
Burials St Sepulchre, Northampton 1799
Ann Gordon, Dec'r 11th
Richard Gordon, Dec'r 15th.

I noticed Richard Gordon in the 1798 Northampton Hospital records.

Regarding Cecilia Westley born 1849 Brentford, Middlesex and her brother, Kennedy Gordon Westley, two of the children of William Joseph Westley, School Master and Martha Gibson. William Joseph Westley, Son of William Westley, Schoolmaster.

...
Northampton
12th November 1805, by Licence, William WESTLEY married Sarah GORDON
Present: Jane GORDON, John LAUGHTON

Added: 1851 Census,
1851, Wellington Street, St Giles, Northampton
William Westley, Head, Wid'r, 66, School Master, born Northampton, St Giles
Frances Westley, Dau'r, U, 39, House Keeper, born Stafford'sh Ealeshall [Eccleshall?]
Henry Turner, Visitor, Mar, 47, Cabinet Maker, born Cambridge

Added: Burials Parish of St Giles Northampton in the Year 1849
Sarah Westley, Abode Wellington Street, Dec'r 21, 69 Years.
Newspaper says wife of Mr Westley, Wellington Street.
Giving her a Birth of about 1780 and ties in with her 1781 Northampton Baptism as Sarah Gordon.

Witness at the above 1805 Marriage - Jane GORDON may have been Sarah's sister, but the two witnesses present in 1805, John LAUGHTON of Paulerspury and Jane GORDON married each other 26th May 1808 at which Margaret Gordon was present with Edmund CLEAVER , (Margaret Gordon may have been another sister).
 ----------
 ...

Sorry, regarding one of those present at the 1808 marriage, its seems I have read the surname of Edmund the witness present, incorrectly and his surname signature was CLEAVER.

Had another look at the 26th May 1808 Northampton, England, marriage of:-
John LAUGHTON of the Parish of Paulerspury and
Jane GORDON of this Parish
In the Presence of:- Margaret GORDON
Edmund CLEAVER

The CLEAVER surname has the following two links to GAUDERN at Northampton, Northamptonshire:-

Northampton All Saints 11th November 1784 by Banns
John Winterton CLEAVER, widower and
Elizabeth GAUDERN of this Parish, Spinster
In the Presence of:- Ann Ager
Thos Ager
John Cox [John Cox signs 3 of the 4 marriages on the page]

Little Harrowden [per Anc], 29th October 1787 by Licence
Stephen GAUDERN, Bachelor of the Town of Northampton and
Frances Bayes of this Parish, Spinster.
John CLEAVER
Hannah Page her mark

Barring a coincidence (and they do occasionally occur), it looks like Edmund Cleaver present in 1808 and the two CLEAVER at the above 1784 and 1787 GAUDERN marriages, both with Northampton links, might suggest some new Gordon / Gaudern family links?
 ----------
Cannot see any Stephen & Mrs Gaudern, Goat Inn, Northampton link, nor Gaudern of the Goat Inn to Kennedy Gordon.
 ----------
I'm going to check out these other children mentioned by Ciderdinker in response to Maddy's post in page 1 of the thread.

Looking into Maddy and Ciderdrinker's suggestions

25th November 1759 Banns at Piddington, Northamptonshire (image on Anc) Banns only,
Richard Gordon of this Parish and Elizabeth Reading of the Parish of Hanslope, Bucks (followed by the 3 dates)

Hanslope, Bucks., transcription with those present here ...
Hanslope and District Historical Society
https://www.mkheritage.org.uk/hdhs/family-history/

http://www.mkheritage.site/hanslope/visitorPages/personSearch.php

19th December 1759 at Hanslope, Buckinghamshire
Richard Gordon of the Parish of Piddington in the County of Northampton and
Elizabeth Redding of this Parish by Banns
He signs "Richard Gauthorn"
She signs "Elisabeth Redding now Elis: Gordon"
by me Moses Agar, Vicar
In the presence of Law'e Harraway ; Wm Gregory

The Gregory surname is present at some other marriages on the page.

Interesting to note Richard Gordon of Piddington, Northamptonshire, actually signs his name Richard Gauthorn and his new wife notes she will be Elis: Gordon.

1765 Piddington, Northamptonshire, 23rd January, by Banns (Banns in 1764)
Edward Derby of this Parish Bachelor and
Sarah Gordon of this Parish Spinster
Both left their marks.
In the Presence of Joseph Westly ; Richard Gorthern (both signed)

Maddy's find for the baptism at Piddington for Kennedy Gordon looks very good  :)

Possibly got two marriages for two of the children of Richard & Mary of Piddington, suggested by Ciderdrinker

Interesting, a Westly witness at a Gordon of Piddington marriage.
