are you sure Simon snr was born in 1855 ? according to www.cheshirebmd.org.uk
DEATHS

PIERCE   Simon Goodman   22   1919   Birkenhead   Wirral   BIR/160/4

PIERCE   Simon Goodman   64   1922   Birkenhead   Wirral   BIR/165/68

so this would equate to Simon Snr being born 1858 ??

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thanks to all.

I have contacted friends of Flaybrick and are awaiting their reply.

To Garstonite, many thanks for this information and website. I will make further enquiries however yes they are both correct. That is my Grand Uncle and Great Great Grandfather.

Also sorry for duplicate posts as I posted previously in Lancashire by error. I do however appreciate everyones replies as I'm only new to this.
