On Thursday 1st December at 2.30 pm there is going to be a talk event on the ‘Cocoa Girls’ story by a debut novelist.
This looks like to be a very interesting event as the story is said to be inspired by long hidden family secrets uncovered by the author when she untook family history research and it is based on her Nana’s life.  The story begins in Gateshead in 1903 – Evie’s unmarried Mother and sister find themselves facing debt on the death of their Mother and the little girl is sent to the workhouse by their Aunt and they are ordered into service ...
There will also be quizzes and refreshments and it is FREE!  However, booking is essential.
