Sachs 1861/1871/1881/1891 census look-up please

I am trying to locate Hans Alwin Paul Emmanuael Sachs (could be Paul Alwin Emmanuel Hans Sachs!).

He was born c.1865 (where?) and married Susan Nickolay at St Aldales Church, Oxford 1898. At this time he lived at 188 Marlborough Road, Oxford.

His fathers name was Richard Sachs (German?)

I see he is plain Hans in 1901, born Germany/German subject, Painter (artist).

I can see a Hans Sachs in 1891, at 38 Charles square Hoxton New Town, age 25, widower, boarding with other Germans (Adolph & Elise Gruner), birthplace Germany, but he's a Tailor, so perhaps not very likely.

His marriage cert 1898 states his occupation as house painter. So the 1901 census return is a possible.

His age (25) in 1891 census is correct if born circa 1865.

Can you offer additional details for these?

Have looked thru the censuses, and cannot find Hans, apart from the one that tanja found, maybe he changed his occupation ?
there isnt a Richard either, maybe Hans came over to England without his father ? To be a house painter !!??

You have definately found the correct person in the 1901 census. Their daughter Gertrude was my grandad's sister.
