Hi

This will be a very long shot, however I have an ancestor Charlotte Molineux Rogers who marries a Mr Edward Roberts 1840 in Thurstaston .
I think she was related to a Richard Molineux who ran the pub in Thurstaston.
Her mother was called Emma Rogers & I presume that Charlotte was illegitimate.
Orginally I thought Mollineux was her father`s name, however there was a link with Richard as I recall he is a witness at her wedding or baptism, which occurred when she was 15 she was born in 1820.
Just wondered if she could fit in with these Molineuxs some how as to me it seems an unusual name.
I do not know what the link was between Charlotte & Richard I am wondering if she was his niece.
I do not know where he was born only that Richard Molineux had been a Royal Marine & served on the Chesapeak.

The 1723 marriage was by Licence and the Licence  states that both Catherine and John were of the Parish of Roby in Lancashire.

Roby is 10 miles away from Aughton Green where a Katherine Mollineux was baptised 7 November 1703, father Thomas

Marriage 21 Dec. 1723 St. Michael, Huyton
John Hochkenhall Esq.  - Prenton in the County of Chester
Mrs Katherine Mullineux - Hawkley in Pemberton in the County of Lancaster
https://www.lan-opc.org.uk

Thomas Mollineaux married Elizabeth Macklin 1 May 1699 in Halsall

Abode of that Thomas Molineux was Maghull

2 other Thomas Molyneux marriages in 1699:

18 May St. Mary the Virgin, Leigh
Thomas Maulenx
Esther Siddowe
by banns

27 Dec. St. Michael, Aughton
Thos. Mullinex, labourer
Margaret Maudsley, Halsall parish
I would rule it out as that Thomas was a labourer.
