Sandra - that's brilliant!   Did Philip and Barbara have any children and where are they buried.  Heard it said that Philip drowned whilst working on the Lakes - don't know if that is right though.
Thanks!

I don't know much about the Canadian records myself, but others on this forum, like Sandra, have said in the past that recent Canadian vital records are not online and hard to obtain. Their privacy laws are much stricter than the US.

Maybe someone will find an obituary in the paper or another trace of them later. Their might be a city directory that includes Lincoln - maybe Hamilton or Niagara Falls, Ontario. I haven't looked yet. Try Googling for it. I'll give it a try myself later today or tomorrow.

thanks oldohiohome

Thomas Philip or more likely Philip Thomas Dorrington was rumoured to have drowned in one of the Great Lakes - he was said to have worked in some capacity on the Lakes.
He was alive in 1957 living in Lincoln.

If drowned there may well be a newspaper report of his death.

Have you managed to find obituaries for Thomas Philip Dorrington siblings which may offer some clues ? (If they stayed in touch)  :-\
