John JENNINGS killed at Kohima 1944
« on: Saturday 22 October 22 23:39 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find out more about Pte John Jennings who was killed in the defence of Kohima in India on 30 March 1944.  He was a Private in 1st Battalion the Devon Regiment (number 5626629). The CWGC records give no information on him apart from the fact he was aged 29 and elsewhere I have seen mention that he was born in Dumbarton.

Can anyone help add a bit more information on him?

Thanks

Thanks Bruce.  Are these references to documents on Scotland's People?  Apologies, I don't use it very much at all.
