Searching for Searchwell's

Thomas Searchwell was born 25 Sep 1787 and baptised 28 Sep 1787 at the Groat Market Meeting House, Newcastle.

On 12 Feb 1813 he married Margaret Barras by licence at St Andrew's, Newcastle.

On 6 Dec 1813 they baptised a daughter, Jane, at St Nicholas, Newcastle.  The register shows they lived at North Shore, and that Thomas was a Joiner: https://www.rootschat.com/links/01rvw/

By 1841 I think that Thomas may be in Liverpool with sons James 18, Henry 16 and Thomas 15.

Thomas Sr appears to have died in Liverpool in 1847, but I don't know what happened to Margaret or Jane, so I'm hoping that someone else has better luck.

I'm particularly interested in Margaret, as I'm trying to establish whether she was my distant aunt.

Looking again after a few cups of coffee, I've found a blindingly obvious burial for Jane:

21 Feb 1814 St John, Newcastle Jane Searchwell aged 4 months

Still not found anything for Margaret though.

It has to be before 17 January 1821 when he married Deborah Pingney in Manchester. St Mary's and St Deny's
Name spelled as Thomas Sarchwell

His occupation Joiner

1841 sons James, Henry and Thomas are from his second marriage based upon ages

A tree on Ancestry has Thomas Searchwell, 1787-1847 parents James & Elizabeth
Wife Deborah Pingney. Married 1821 Manchester, children the 3 on 1841 census you mention.

It appears to check, so Margaret presume died 1813 - 1821?

I see he claims to be a bachelor when he married Deborah Pingney, so I wonder if he & Margaret just went their separate ways and Margaret perhaps reverted to her maiden name, as I'm not finding a burial for her.
