Westrape of Rickling

I have an Ann Westrape baptised on 13th June 1779 in Ricking, Essex her mother is Elizabeth Read. Possibly the same Elizabeth Read mother of Henry Houghton b 1768 in Rickling who we believe was the daughter of William Read and Elizabeth Grout who both died around the time her son was born.

Ann Westrape is a real enigma as there doesn't seem to be any Westrape's in Rickling. So any help will be much appreciated thank you in advance x

Thank you thats a different spelling to ancestry. I have tried this spelling but to no avail x

There were some Westropes about in Essex, but, as you say, not in Rickling

Thanks Jon for looking with new eyes. I may have to go back to ERO and do a wider search. Henry (if he was her brother) appears in Takeley and later Stansted so may look in those places next then places between. Thanks again x
