Much better, if you must use Ancestry, to look at the information before posting a totally useless extract from some tree or other that tells you absolutely nothing new. Look at the tree to see when and where its author thinks William Watt died, and what s(he) thinks were the names of his parents. Then compare it to actual original records and see if it makes sense.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Forfarian, unable to look at the detailed information as I'm not a member of ancestry.co.uk
This was a google search to ancestry.co.uk, the family tree showed William Watt married to Mary Ann Barrie, good enough to look deeper, but another time.
This posters family tree might have the correct parentage for William Watt. As I said I am guessing at the minute.
Thanks Alberbury.

It might, but then again it might just be a load of havers. There's no time like the present.
