JOHN LEE death index query

I have found a John Lee death  in Victoria  that might be worth  byeing 
Im confident its BENDIGO   however it is

BGO    then   a -------B O----------  after it .
Any ideas please.

He may be this man, admitted in 1905 aged 89.  He is a miner born in the Channel Islands.  Came from the Inglewood Hospital, arrived in the colony in 1852.  Died 30 July 1906.
