1831 Drumsurn, Balteagh Census
« on: Thursday 27 October 22 21:07 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me why Drumsurn Balteagh is missing from the online 1831 census? Did they miss filming it? The census on the National Archives and the LDS website are both missing Drumsurn. I'm looking for any Loughery and McCoy/ McKay. Especially in Drumsurn Lower
Thank you for any replies1

So was Drumsurn the same as Drumswim in 1831? I wonder if they changed the name or if the census taker wrote it wrong. Thank you for your kind reply and for the links!

If you look at the handwritten page, it looks as though it is Drumsurn and has been transcribed wrongly.

There are lots of 'different' spellings in the 183 census so this is not uncommon.
