Where did you get the entry from?  Have you checked Family Search?

Freebmd has a lot of John Jones marriages with an Esther Jones on the same page

St David came under the Brecknock RD from 1837 but nothing on freebmd so presume it was pre 1837

Both of the Parish, John was a butcher and Esther a spinster, witnesses Evan Jones and Rees Jones.
Banns 31st January, 7th and 14th February.
