Lockett / Florence

I'm a bit confused regarding the marriage of John Lockett in 1846 in Keele Staffordshire to my great x 4 grandmother.  On ancestry it says he married Mary Florence (daughter of Richard Florence) but it also says he married Marie Harvey in the same year . Can anyone shed any light on this ?

John lockets daughter was Susan lockett and she married Robert Cooke if that's any help

Keele actually comes under Newcastle under Lyme that's why I was confused . I didn't see the grooms fatners names though so thank you that will helpfully be a big help

From your wording I suspect you are looking at Ancestry Hints.  They are just that - hints not facts.  All they basically do is cause a lot of confusion.

If you knew for a fact that her maiden name was Florence - ignore all other "hints"

I'm not sure what her maiden name was fo be honest.  It was either Florence or Harvey. I've seen different trees on ancestry that are so mixed up it's laughable.  I use the hints and the trees and a starting point.

Any advice on how to confirm her maiden name ?

Their daughter was susannah locket who married Robert Cooke.  Robert Cookes son was Joseph Cooke and Joseph Cookes son was my grandfather John Henry Cooke
