Just found Edward's birth from 1939 census is September 30th 1871

It would be the December quarter , you would think, which has mmn Evans.

Anne Evans 15 yrs b Llanwddyn is a servant living in Llanfyllin district.

1851 2499/ 682/4
Ann Evans 8 yrs b Llanwddyn with mother Elizabeth and siblings.

Just to add, there are other Humphrey/Evans births which would fit with that 1863 Llanfyllin marriage so may not be your Ann.

I like that 1851 census which says she is 8 but almost looks like a 6 . Can anyone read the address ? I presume it is in Welsh .

the family were at Glanrhyd in 1841 and there's a burial in Llanwddyn 28 Aug 1849 Edward Evans 51 address Glanrhyd. New House is on the same census page as Glanrhyd so looks to be the Glan y rhyd here as Tan y fron is also on the same page. A couple of miles from the lake.
