Marriage in Cavan possibly Killashandra
« on: Monday 07 November 22 19:41 GMT (UK) »
Francis Crawford b. approx 1831 married Eliza Armstrong b. approx 1831 in around 1848 ish.

First born child arrived 1848/1849, either George or Charles (uncertain which way round) born Yewer Glebe, Cavan. A number of siblings followed.

Family emigrated to Liverpool in the 1870s.

If anyone can point me to a marriage record I would be most grateful.

Thanks Kim

Finding them in England has proved to be quite easy.

Finding them in Ireland around 1871 is another thing entirely!

I ask because I came across a marriage which comes up as related to this couple but the wife is Elizabeth Nethercote and not Armstrong unless she was married before.

Sorry I hadn't read your post properly.

Given their ages I doubt she was previously married.

Can you post the details of this marriage please?

Tbh it's impossible to say.

I know of no links to Enniskillen or Fermanagh.

How has this marriage been related to our Francis Crawford? It seems quite a common name. In one England census there are 2 in the same road in Kirkdale, both born Ireland, similar ages.

It is cited in some public trees but is later than some of the children’s births.

Is this the birth you have for William with mother Elizabeth Crawford  :-\

Where do you have Armstrong as her name?
