Adamson/Rodgers connection?
« on: Wednesday 09 November 22 13:06 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to help an elderly gentleman with his research. He is looking to find any information on his Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother.

Possible name of Roland or Rowland Adamson who was a printer, born in Canada with Scottish roots. His Great Grandmother was Jemima Rodgers or Rogers who was born around 1849 in Dalkeith, Scotland. Not sure if they married or were in fact married in Canada. They moved to New York around 1875. Their son was Daniel Patterson Adamson born 11 November 1875.Can't find US marriage but  I found a census record for 1880 showing Daniel at 4 years of age living with other children a Nursery and Children's hospital in Middletown, Co. Richmond, NY. Not sure what happened to the parents but any information or advice on where to look will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much,
Susan
